Since a visitor messed with my original morning plans, I decided to climb to the top of this mountain instead. Because why not?

So I started out, thinking that the mountain top looked high, but was totally within reach.

And the height of this mountain top was a bit deceiving, especially since I decided to take the path STRAIGHT UP the mountainside. It was steep.

But like most mountain climbs, there is a pay-off. In this case, I had my share of some spectacular views. All. By. Myself. Solitude. Try it sometime.

And just as I crested that mountain,
"The Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth" by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! came on the ol' iPod, so I treated myself to a 5-minute dance party on the ol' mountain top.
I'm not going to lie. That solo, mountainous dance party was pretty dang awesome. And so I played the song again and danced some more.
It may have to become a weekly tradition.

I want to go up a mountain by myself and have a dance party. Who knew? Now I do - and have something to plan for : )
