Upper Muley Twist

Ten miles through barren, hot, very sunny country to the top of a high mountain plus two days later and I still feel like I've been run over by a truck. I am noticing that while my body will still do stuff like what I did on Saturday, it rebels by taking longer to get back to normal.

However, the sleeping out under the stars (despite the GIGANTIC spider that crawled on my sleeping bag and camping downwind from the outhouse) and views like this one...

or sunsets like this one...

or having lunch under an arch next to a slot canyon like this one...

and seeing 5+ arches like this one...

or being able to sun myself on a rock face while the boys took care of business in the brush...

(now that was a special memory definitely not worth repeating), made it all one great weekend trip.

I need a few more before this Summer is over.
