Dark, Silent Night

There is something rather eerie about waking up in the dead of night because something is different, and realizing that this "different" is due to a power outage. Absolutely no sound and absolute darkness.

But stranger, perhaps, is when you don't like the feel of this silence, so you put earplugs in your ears to make it seem more natural.

Lucky me, gets more silence and absolute darkness tonight when I sleep in the woods.
