I had grand schemes for Saturday given that the forecast said NO RAIN. Finally! Last Wednesday night, when it was raining/snowing and blowing wind, I picked up a few kites at the Dollar Store. I was determined to fly those plastic wonders on Antelope Island.
Shelby and Jessica joined.
The wind did not cooperate.
But the Island never disappoints.
And neither did the weather.

Beautiful! You've got some great positioning and framing. Was that PhD is see over there on the side bar in photography?
Also, I hesitate to ask, but any objections if I use some of these for my computer background? I'm resisting the temptation to ask if there are higher res images shared somewhere at flickr? Not that you would want to share your flicker account with a total trolling stranger... Ok, I will move on now.
cbeck, I took those pictures with my phone and did some magic with Picasa. But I'm flattered all the same.
Ah well... Great shots are great shots. Had I taken those, you'd most likely just see my finger. :)
VERY nice photos - you should invest in a better camera and go do some more of these. You have a good "eye."
