Frisbee Golfing: The Urban Way

Friday afternoon involved some urban Frisbee golf with Brandon.

This was no ordinary Frisbee golf. It involved each of us taking turns on deciding the hole and the par. Holes included street signs, mail boxes, memorial plaques, the bison statues at the SLC Visitor's Center, etc.
Obstacles included parked and moving cars, pedestrians, creeks, and stairwells.

In case you were wondering, throwing a frisbee up a stairwell is challenging, especially when you are trying to throw the frisbee from below the retaining wall and not throw it in the bushes.

Our turn-back point was the Capitol. Brandon spent most of the game WAY ahead of me--in distance and in score.

Brandon showcasing the beehive--one of the holes.

The Capitol Lions should have been an easy hole--and they were for Brandon. The stupid wind took my frisbee and deposited it FAR below the target. I think Brandon enjoyed mocking me for my pathetic frisbee skills.

Along our frisbee sojourn, we discovered that our state legislators must no longer care about feeding the feral cats that live on the Capitol grounds, since they would rather shoot them instead.

Amazing the things you learn about your city when shimmying under trees and bushes and things.

And in case you were wondering...

Score:
Brandon: -20
Naomi: +5
