Grave Tour

Boston and the surrounding areas are full of cool, old cemeteries. And for some reason, I like cemeteries. When I first moved to SLC, I would wander around the SLC Cemetery in the Avenues, looking for famous, dead Mormons. There are a lot of them buried in that large plot of land.

One late afternoon, we took off to Lexington & Concord and visited the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. I'd been there before, but Jeff and Kristina had not.

Famous authors like Louisa May Alcott and Thoreau and Emerson are buried in this place.

And we may have done a bit of celebrating because we're ALIVE! and all of those dead people are not.

On Mother's Day, Kristina and I headed off to the Mount Auburn Cemetery after we took long, luxurious naps. It's the first landscaped cemetery in the U.S. and is now a historic landmark. Given the Spring season, the cemetery was quite beautiful.

But then, we came across this creepy headstone.

Here. Look at those figures up close.

You know that those two figures totally come alive at night. And do ghost stuff.
Unfortunately, the gates are closed to the place at 7pm and Kristina and I had to go eat some chicken wings so we weren't able to stick around.

Boo.
