| Sunset over the Salt Lake Valley |
Evening hikes really are one of the best things about the sun setting later and later. And Friday evening's weather was perfect for a hiking adventure in the mountains just above Red Butte Garden and the University of Utah. The storm stayed to the West of us, providing a spectacular sunset.
Our intended destination was what is called "The Living Room," but we never found it. Instead, we settled on a different peak, which afforded us a great view, too.
And so we settled in, eating Alberto's burritos and ginger cookies.
It really was a perfect evening--a great start to the Memorial Day Weekend. It's hard to believe that a dusting of snow now covers these very mountains.
